The construction for the Activity Center continues.
The construction of the new Activity Center nears its completion. It is expected that the exterior part of the center will be finished by the end of September.
The funding that the Center received was approximately 200 million pesos.
It is said that the Activity Center will be able to withstand a 6.0 magnitude earthquake. It will not only house sports facilities but also different laboratories, an auditorium that will have top-notch lightings and sound systems and will be able to accommodate 1500- 2000 people. The basketball courts will have materials imported from the United States and will feature collapsible bleachers to maximize space.
Mr. Keith Nicodemus, OIC for Student Affairs, says that Metro Stonerich Corporation, the corporation handling the project, has done a great job in ensuring that the new Activity Center will be durable and will approximately last for 50 years or so.
When the construction of the Activity Center finishes, the Claretians can expect a ribbon cutting ceremony to signify its completion. Claretians will also witness the foundation day celebration as the first event to be held at the Center.
